The Greatest Hits of Motown - How Sweet It Is Reviews
A Randles from Liverpool,
MEDIOCRE
I have seen better pub acts and was very disappointed with the show. The male singers did not have great voices and could barely be heard when singing. Don't waste your money. No staging, just 5 men with microphones. This is not a theatre production. We left at the half way break as thought it was awful

Sorry to say the performance was not great and a few of us left before the end. The singers do not have strong voices, couldnt hear them properly and one guys voice was quite muffled. They couldn't match the original motown stars voices in key either. They made the songs their own version. I've seen much better acts. You must see Rush with the leader singer (iker?) Sang Marvin gaye songs and they were perfect. He deserves the recognition 10 times more. IMO do not waste your Money on this act.

Very disappointed.,would have given 0 stars if I coUld. Spent most of the first half blinded by the stage lighting, as it seems to be directed directly into the audience faces, so you could not see anything on the stage.and made it very uncomfortable watching Singing at best mediocre could have seen better at a pub karaoke. Out of tune, and the brass section made some questionable notes. Some people were leaving half way through. I love love love Motown music. but this show crucified it .

DREADFUL
I am not in the habit of leaving Reviews about anything but on this occasion I feel I must. My Daughter and I had been really looking forward to this Show as we love Motown Music and previous Reviews appeared to be fantastic. What a disappointment ! It started off with very loud background music and out of tune singing which continued throughout.. Very wooden dancing- the Band Members looked very amateurish often with the same moves over and over again. At times we could hardly hear them while others were drowning each other out struggling to counterbalance the extremely loud background music. When they addressed the audience we couldn't hear anything they were saying so we couldn't respond if we wanted to ! There seemed to be no co-ordination and the whole thing came across as totally unprofessional. We left after the first half. A complete waste of money. It's a shame people can't get a refund in these difficult times. I will certainly think twice before booking anything else at the New Theatre.
