WHAT A SHOW!

I saw the World Premiere of this musical in Leicester. I was blown away! The story is that of the Osmond family - how they got their start in the business and the ups and downs that followed. The story is funny, heart warming, poignant and uplifting. The songs you know and love from the family are present - lots of chances to sing and participate. The actors that play the younger Osmond brothers are show stealers. Stand out performances from Alex Lodge who heads up the show as Jay Osmond and Georgia Lennon who plays Marie. The creatives on the show are superb - Directed by Shaun Kerrison and choreographed by Olivier Award winning Bill Deamer. Lighting, Set and costumes are also wonderful. Go see this show. It's about to be the hottest ticket in town!

OPENING NIGHT THE OSMONDS - A NEW MUSICAL

What a show! An emotional journey back to the 70s to be part of the behind the scenes story of the family that we all wished to be part of. Emotional at times but I expected that. I loved the story telling through the back to back songs that gave a different perspective to the lyrics. The casting was inspiring each one embracing the personalities of The Osmonds, from the early days and beyond. The audience participated in all the dance moves and the standing ovation was well deserved. I’m not giving too much away so you can enjoy the show yourselves but bring a tissue, bring your dancing shoes and Osmond scarves if you still have them and join the party. “Wendy from Manchesters moment” took me back to my first Osmond moment! it was evening that stirred memories for me it was an experience not just a show. This is Sally from London, your number 1 fan 😇

WE DEFINITELY HAD A PARTY !! 😎

What an amazing Osmonds Experience!! I was transported back to being an 11 year old, sitting 2 inches away from our black & white TV so that I didn’t miss a thing when the Osmonds were on TV An Amazingly energetic young cast with fabulous musicians, brilliant choreo/staging & stunning lighting. Not a weak link in the cast they all gave 300% but obviously a special shout out to Ryan, Jamie, Alex, Danny & Joseph who WERE ‘The Osmond Brothers’. Managed to see four shows in a week - can’t wait for the next three 💙🧡🖤💚💜♥️

DO NOT MISS THIS MUSICAL!

This musical is not just for Osmond fans, even if you haven't heard any of their songs you will love it. The whole cast give a flawless performance. There are highs and lows throughout and transforms you way back to when The Osmonds were little kids auditioning for Walt Disney and them appearing on The Andy Williams show. The young boys are the cutest, especially Donny! Alex who plays Jay tells the story and the well known songs are cleverly placed to run with the story. Georgia who place Marie is such a close match its hard to believe its not Marie Osmond on stage sometimes! By the end the whole audience are up on their feet dancing and singing and generally having the time of their life Have not seen one bad review and that says alot! Go and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

TOP CLASS MUSICAL ABOUT A TOP CLASS FAMILY

My mother was an Osmonds fan so I brought her to see the touring show in Dublin… I had basic knowledge of the Osmonds but oh my god am I turning into an Osmonds fan after this show! Everything from the set design, music, choreography, the story-telling method, transports you right back to Osmondmania and is such an immersive experience. And as for the cast - totally BLEW ME AWAY. Not only is this fantastic entertainment, but it really showcased the Osmond family and just how unique they are. Loved every minute, would jump at the chance to see it again.

BRILLIANT AND SO ENERGETIC, NOT TO BE MISSED

Wimbledon opening night performance. Everything about this musical is good. Great story, excellent singers, superb choreography. All the actors put so much energy in the dance routines, I was out of breath just watching. Every costume the Osmonds ever wore exactly duplicated. I just can't praise it enough. We had Jay Osmond and his family sitting in the dress circle. What a treat. What a humbling experience to see him casually have his photo taken with members of the audience.

WOW!!!

If I am honest I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. I liked the Osmonds, as a teenager in the 70's, but didn't remember being a fan as such. I was transported back to dancing to crazy horses in my bedroom, sobbing to puppy love and singing away to long haired lover from Liverpool! The roller coaster of emotions was felt across the theatre, everywhere you looked there was sheer joy and tears. Memories this amazing show evoked was truly powerful. The cast were outstanding, I didn't want it to end. The icing on the cake was having Jay Osmond in the audience. To say the crowd went wild when he took his seat was an understatement. This show is not to be missed.

AMAZING

Wow just wow. I took my mum to see the osmonds musical in Liverpool Empire. It took her right back and even in parts got her all emotional. I was so glad it was an experience we had together a beautiful memory that will last a life time. The actor's/ actreses were amazing the children were out of this world. Alot of talent on one stage. It was written fantastically. Had everyone up one there feet dancing and singing. As someone younger I wasn't sure if it was for me before going, but how wrong was I. One of the best shows I have ever seen. If you get a chance go and see it will not disappoint.

FABULOUS

I saw this show - twice - in Brighton last week after previously seeing it in in Oxford a few months ago. It was fantastic then and it's even better now, tightened up. It's a wonderful night with a super talented cast who sing, act and dance a storm. There were a couple of understudies covering lead roles on the nights I came due to illness but you never would have guessed. After a while, you almost believe it's the original Osmonds out there and the standing ovation at the end was deserved. The cast really give it their all. Puppy Love was a show stopper. Osmonds the Musical deserves to go to the West End. (I enjoyed it more than Jersey Boys). Well done Jay Osmond for all your hard work in bringing this labour of love to fruition - we love it for a reason.

THE OSMONDS MUSICIAL

Omg was watching the musicial in aberdeen ,Wednesday 2nd Nov. This musicial is so superb, the actor's was just excellent, even the little ones. The story was so well written by jay, can't fault it at all.Just a pity the fire alarm went off just be for the first half,so everyone was outside in the cold, windy rainy night for about 15 minutes . So enjoyed singing and dancing to the music, pity its all done.I would tell everyone to go and see it,a morman fan or not.

VERY POOR

*Sunderland Empire is a great old building managed by really good staff. *The Osmond's was a very poor show. *The Lady singer had a great voice (Marie). *All the Guys were amateur at best. *Along with cheap costumes and wigs from a joke shop. *The young members gave the older audience a short lift but overall very poor production.

DISAPPOINTED

I was looking forward to this show as I love musicals and in particular those that are autobiographical / true stories. I grew up with The Osmonds music, loved Donny & Marie when they performed together and I had their music on tape, albums and had posters on my bedroom wall but…… I am afraid to say I left at the interval, that is the first time I have ever left the theatre early for a professional show and I have seen numerous musicals in London as well as the Theatre Royal in Brighton, The Hawth, Eastbourne Congress and Worthing Pavilion. I was disappointed, the set was very bland in my opinion and I just couldn’t fully engage with the story and never at any point did I get ‘swept up’ by it all, it just felt flat. The first half was 90 minutes long and sadly I was bored and couldn’t face the second half - it may have got better as the show went on but I really couldn’t be bothered to sit through another 75 minutes of it in order to find out. It wasn’t for me, the story and concept could have been something really good but I’m afraid I found the whole production rather lacking.

COULD BE SO MUCH MORE

This feels like a first draft script. Would benefit froma ppfessionall injection from people outside jay Osmonds experience, as was a bit self indulgent. I would have like to have seen more about Marue and the older bothers who were death. IThe show alluded to being pushed out when donny and marie had their own show and I was a bit confused as to what was being insinuatted about Meriill , when Jay say 'how was i supposed to know'. In my ond it was pointing to a mental health tragedy pr suidide but when I google after the show, Merill is still going gigs/talks and directed the marie and donny show that they were being 'pushed out from', Definitley needs more objective input. I would have been nice may be at the end to see reall footage from their get together gig in the background, The stage design could have been more creative. Lots of lose threads. Maybe the producers could watch the Jersey boys ...such a shame that the osmonds musical could not be celebrated in a more upbeat storyline
